HEXPOL acquires Unica, a Spanish company in Rubber Compounds

HEXPOL has today signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Unión de Industrias C.A., S.A. (Unica) from Espiga Capital, a Spanish based Private Equity firm. Unica is a significant player in Rubber Compounds in Spain, supplying several demanding customers in the automotive, construction and agriculture sectors. ”Through the acquisition of Unica, we will strengthen our position in Rubber Compounds for demanding customers in Spain and other EU countries. Following the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Unitree Technologies, Hexagon expects to record a gain in its third quarter results on the revaluation of its shareholding, which represents 1.198% of the Unitree’s issued share capital. The gain will be calculated on the closing share price on 30 September 2026. Based on today's closing price, the gain would be approximately €500m.
